WHAT IS EXPECTED FROM A SITTER

• To provide a professional sitting service
• To be fully insured & accredited (ideally a member of SittersAssociation.org)
• Provide details of availability/unavailability, & respond to potential sit requests
• Review sitting enquiries calendar to identify potential matches
• Attend client introduction calls/zooms prior to mutual agreement for sit
• Make own travel provisions to client locations
• Pack for on-site sit, including food provisions & own bedding
• Carry out sit, in accordance with Trusted Sit’s professional standards
• Communicate frequently thoughout each day with client (send photos/videos)
• Provide support for client’s return
• Leave client’s site in same or better condition than it was upon arrival
• Produce Invoice after a sit
• Ensure all self-employment accounting responsibilities are upheld

1. Invoicing made easy. Trusted Sit collects sitting fees on your behalf into our client holding account, & relayed to you, minus our agency fees once the assignment is complete. This makes your responsibility for invoicing easier, as it is done on your behalf… Simply put, sitting made easy – you sit; we do the rest..
2. Trusted Sitters are provided with clear sitting information. With a clear host form & timetable, so that the sitter is able to quickly & easily provide the right care
3. Trusted Sitters benefit from choice of assignments. This allows them to visit a wide range of places they might never have seen otherwise!
4. Trusted Sit can offer a Backup Plan service to hosts, for extra peace of mind. Hosts have the ability to identify, screen, & select a secondary sitter, to have on call, in reserve in case the primary sitter cannot attend or complete their assignment for matters beyond their control. Secondary sitters block out there calendar for the agreed dates, & receive a standby-fee, only be required to sit if the primary is unable
5. Trusted Sitters are offered additional revenue earning opportunities if they choose. 6. Approved Trusted Sitters have access to a range of online resources. These include online productivity tools, training courses & online entertainmentm and more
7. Approved Trusted Sitters can take advantage of a range of online shared services. These include access to features such as shared access to a Pro Zoom account, CRM, Trusted Sit Membership & Subscription Tool & range of supporting services
8. Trusted Sitters benefit from the great reputation. We believe in creating a network of only the finest sitters. Therefore, each sitter is encouraged to gain accreditations & proven skills, screening status, or to demonstrate their expertise in this space. Beyond screening through the Sitters Association, and host reviews, they are also peer screened, ensuring we all continually show a high standard, & are able to support one another as needed.
9. Trusted Sitters are able to easily remote work from host premises. This means their remote working is not affected by sitting, allowing them to work remotely, or relax while sitting.
10. Approved Trusted Sitters will be given their own online calendar.  This allows sitters to see their own availability for sitting assignment. Their profile helps showcase their capabilities, showing details of experience, & a change for hosts to find out more about about sitters, their skills & experience, as well as an insight into who they are on a personal or professional level.
11. Trusted Sitters & hosts can easily arrange a meet and greet with each other online. This confirms that each is happy with the other. After all, trust & mutual comfort are the most important aspects of a happy healthy sitting assignment.
12. Trust Sitters operate as freelancers. This allows them to deduct genuine expenses from their operating costs, such as for insurance, reclaim mileage rates & more. Trusted Sitters are not employees. This means they are responsible for their own costs, & can pick & choose assignments. If an assignment is not right, whether the location, pets, timetable, or responsibility expectations, as a freelancer, there is no obligation to accept it. However, once accepted, it becomes a contractual obligation, as reliability is key, & any accepted assignment are deemed as set in stone. (Remember, Reliability is one of the most fundamental milestones of Trusted Sit)
13. You’re working with a team with Reputation of the highest standard. Built on the Google 5* reputation of Paradise4Pets, Trusted Sit takes the many decades of sitting experience to share with all of our Trusted Sitters, and makes being a sitter into a great fun activity.
14. Trusted Sitters (& hosts) benefit from Trusted Sit’s Agency brokerage service. This includes centralising & managing the enquiry process, simplifying the engagement process, providing clear templates, forms & guides for capturing & storing the essential sitting assignment information, facilitating the booking process, providing regular updates & communications in preparation or sitting, automating the invoicing process, supporting the sitting process, assisting with any sitting challenges, handling the follow up with both sitters & hosts in the post-sitting process, & helping make the lives of both the sitter & host as rewarding as possible; all in exchange for our sitting brokerage fee.
15. Trusted Sitters have special access to early enquiries & booking requests. For booking requests made to us, we will relay these to our sitters, in waves, that we feel are the best fit. This makes it well worth being a Trusted Sitter!
16. Discounts are a perk for our Sitters. Trusted Sitters also get discount from a growing number of partners of ours, or those of the Sitters Association, too! And the list is growing!
17. Earn commission from bringing business to TrustedSit.com, even if you don’t do the assignment. £5 from each assignment is allocated to the sitter responsible for bringing in the business! It may not be much, but it still pays to spread the word!
18. Access to fun sitter events, such as quiz nights, with prizes to be won!
19. Assistance building life on your own terms. Want to be enjoythe occasional break away, or become a digital nomad, travelling around, sitting, & enjoying life, or perhaps you want more income to support the future? At Trusted Sit, we help bring opportunities to you.

Note: We only engage reliable sitters, who have the right capabilities & aptitude for offering only the finest quality of sitting. Reputation is critical. Any sitters that do not continually meet the required standard will be removed & not used again. In this case, any existing booked assignments will be offered to other sitters subject to approval by the hosts.

Terms, Conditions & Expectations of being a Sitter

1. Reliability – Trusted Sit’s reputation is based around 100% reliability for safe completion of every sit that has ever taken place, with a focus on care & quality. Reliability is key.
2. Client First Service – Trusted Sit is a Premium Client first service. For pet sitting assignments, this means pet-first in every decision that is made, focused around their welfare & pre-determined routines.
3. Peace of Mind – The client is paying for peace of mind, knowing that everything is in the hands of self-sufficient professionals.
4. No bypass Policy – Although obvious, we have a no-poaching policy, & any attempts to be poached should also be passed to Trusted Sit. Anyone breaching our no-poaching rule will be struck off our register.
5. Reputation enhancement – Trusted Sit has built up an outstanding reputation for the care we provide. As a representative of the Trusted Sit service, all actions should be to enhance this reputation.
6. Premium Service – We believe in doing whatever it takes to offer the Premium service that the client is paying for. All activiies should reflect & support this, & work to enhance this.
7. Tidyness – Client homes must always be left in a better condition than when sitters arrive.
8. Professionalism – It should go without saying, but professionalism in communication and behaviour is implied.
9. Transparency – We believe that being a sitter is easiest when you have 2-way transparency. As a result, we are completely transparaent about everything from pricing to client needs, & are reliant upon open communication about a sitters needs & experiences too. There’s no value in getting out of your depth, & we’re always here to help.
10. Communication – It is important to communicate professionally, regularly, & identify any potential challenges long before they may happen. Understanding how & when to communicate, & to who (e.g. to Trusted Sit first if advice is needed, rather than immediately bothering the client for trivialities)

Note: Payments from clients are securely held until after completion of a sitting assignment, at which point the funds are released to the sitter in conjunction with an invoice from the sitter’s business. Released funds include pre-agreed travel costs, after deduction of the agreed brokerage & commission fees as displayed below.

Any separate arrangements between host & sitter, such as cleaning, gardening, or supplemental walks, are to be agreed/arranged directly with the sitter.
