Trusted Sit is a sitting broker. This means that we work in conjunction with a network of providers to help meet the sitting needs of our clients.
Although Trusted Sit provides a premium brokering service, including coordinating enquiries, arranging meetings, synchronising calendars, gathering sit details, & even holding payments, it is important that hosts know that they remain ultimately responsible for the decision to accept or reject any sitter, as well as recognise that Trusted Sit is not responsible for the attendence or behaviour of a sitter before, during or after the sit.
As all sitters are independent of Trusted Sit, we can neither be held responsible for a sitter carrying out an assignment, or what a sitter will do with any information that is relayed to them, indirectly from the host, in order to carry out the sit.
However, all sitter is under a Non-Disclosure Agreement, contained within the Sitter Contract, not to divulge any information deemed private.
Trusted Sit carefully follows the terms, conditions, and privacy guidelines of the Sitters Association.
Comments
Visitors cannot currrently leave comments on the site, but can use the site to send messages to Trusted Sit, or potentially to the sitters directly.
Media
Uploading images are stripped of any embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. This ensures that Visitors to the website cannot extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Who we share your data with
We share your forms with the agreed sitter after the sitter has completed the host approval process.
How long we retain your data
We use form data in order to carry out a sitting assignment. Data is relayed to sitters. Sitters are expected to take & relay photographs to the host. There is currently no retention policy for such data. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
